Concept
The idea behind this design is quite simple. I incorporated a “tilt” theme throughout the building; from the leaning structural members to the zigzag elevator shaft.
Origin
This project was completed during my tenure at Taipei Tech. Throughout the span of my program, each project I developed was accompanied by physical models that corresponded with my concept ideas. This was one of the more fun and daring projects I completed.
Materiality
In model making, material is a very important consideration that influences the mood surrounding the structure created. By using wooden structural members and wooden cladding around the elevator shaft, it creates a warm aura in and around the building.
