Exterior
This full view of the residence highlights a couple of the cooler features of this project: the open air cinema equipped with a retractable projector screen and comfy theater chairs. The space is partially covered by a glass atrium, equipped with a set of solar panels.
Floor Plan
I built this design around the indoor atrium/courtyard; using it as a serene meeting point between public and private spaces.
Pool Deck
I opted for tall narrow windows throughout this residence to add a modern, minimalist feel to the space. The use of simple, sleek furniture adds to this effect.
Kitchen
Having four years of kitchen layout design under my belt made it fun to design this kitchen. The software I used (Chief Architect) also made it easy to customize everything from color, to material, to handle type.
Atrium
Adequate light and greenery makes a world of difference in a living space. It lightens the energy of the entire space, ensuring the occupants enjoy dwelling inside the space. The courtyard design applied to this atrium was a deliberate aim at melding indoor and outdoor spaces.
Bedroom
Both sleeping quarters in this home are adjacent to the pool and deck outside. Tall windows allow for an unimpeded view of the outdoor environ.
